TILT 1

During the past few weeks of class, I've learned that it is pretty difficult to get a hold of candidates.  I understand this is a busy time of the year for them with campaigning going on, but very few of our Senator candidates responded to our emails.  These are local people that will impact our lives in Lake County, yet we struggled to get any answers from them.  Politics seem to be a game of who can present himself/herself the best to the public and to be able to ignore those who you are supposed to be helping.  If these candidates can not simply respond to a few simple questions from teenagers that are supposed to be voting in the upcoming elections, then how can we trust they will perform if elected?  I have never really cared for politics and after seeing how little these candidates care for their people, I will continue to not pay much attention to politics.
Google Docs. includes a lot of things that I had no idea about.  I was surprised to see the chat area of an email that was sent out to our group/class.  We could all easily communicate with each other through the chatting rather than yelling to each other across the lab.  I had a good experience with Google Docs. and thought it was easy to pick up on.  I look forward to continuing to use this website for our class projects.

Who is going to win the Republican Presidential Nomination and why?

I believe that Mitt Romney will win the Republican Presidential Nomination because of his ideals.  Romney wants to cut spending, taxes, and regulate programs.  He also plans to increase trade which will boost our economy.  Romney wants to seek better energy production which will decrease our dependence on oil.  Romney plans to revoke "Obamacare" and replace it with a stronger, more reliable health care plan.  His plan focuses on a market-based reform to empower the states and individuals and lower the cost of health-care.  Romney's plans for foreign policy is based off the security of the United States.  He believes a safer America is what will strengthen us.  He will ensure that our allies know where we stand on certain topics and that there is no doubt about our interests.  These are all strong, motivating ideals that I believe America will choose Mitt Romney to represent the Republicans for their canidate.
